After completing his studies and obtaining a B.Sc (2008) and B.Sc Honours (2009) degrees in Molecular and Cellular Biology at the University of Witwatersrand in Johannesburg and completing additional subjects in Medical Anatomy and Physiotherapy II, Physiology II and Medical Biochemistry (2010), he was employed at The Aurum Institute as a Project Coordinator (2011) for a phase II study to evaluate the safety and immunogenicity of an adjuvanted H1 sub-unit vaccine in HIV-infected persons with CD4 counts greater than 350 cells / ml.

In 2013, Trevor was promoted to Project Manager and submitted and presented an abstract entitled’ “Retention, Recruitment and Enrolment into a South African TB Vaccine Trial” at the Third Global TB Vaccines conference held in March 2013. In 2014 he was promoted to Programme Manager of TB Vaccine studies conducted at our various trial sites housed within The Aurum Institute.

He has completed courses in Quality Control of Clinical Data, Good Clinical Practice, Basic and Advanced Immunology and has further qualified as a MedDRA Certified Medical Coder. He is the recipient of prestigious Common Wealth Scholarship which is currently funding his M.SC in Clinical Trial through the London School of Hygiene and Tropical Medicine.
